Lalalalalalalalalalamaybethispostwillhaveabettertitlesomeday

I seem to have forgotten about you, poor blog. I suppose I was just waiting until the weekend to post in you, but was consumed by the exciting world of computer solitaire. Dammit.

Okay, so um, this is January 30th? What was the last day that I posted in this thing? Right, Friday.

So, Saturday, I thought I was going to go out and do something interesting, but I ended up not doing anything at all. I started a new puzzle for dad, one that seems to be missing all of it's edge pieces. Eventually I went to Erin's where everyone had dinner, and then we went home. I really didn't see the point of leaving myt house in the first place, but whatever.

Sunday I spent at Mikhael's. I can't remember what we did, meaning it probably involved watching the food channel for hours . . . haha! It didn't! We watched Breakfast at Tiffany's and The Ring, which wasn't even remotely scary.

On Monday I went for lunch with Erin. We went for Ethiopian just down the street from mom's workplace. After wandering through Deluxe Junk and a new thrift store called . . . I don't remember. I went to Coquitlam after, meeting Mikhael, then we went on a search to find jeans that fit and failed. Discouraged, I went to dance and was bitched at.

Today Mikhael woke me up, then after my shower I made him breakfast. We went to the closest dance store, which was closed, so we bussed it to Value Village, where I bought rugby spandex :) We continued on, on a bee bus; we went to school to drop off our bio labs and find out some marks. After that we went to the Value Village on Clarke, then went to Mikhael's, where I watched Trading Spaces and Take Home Chef and was happy.

Tired.

This pen has pink ink. Or cranberry, whatever, same thing.

Mkay, so exams.

Yesterday I had a hard time getting out of bed. Eventually I did, obviously, and I got to school at my regular time, meeting Mikhael and buying coffee. What followed was a whirlwind of not-studying, writing an essay, playing cards and generally being bored. That's right, a whirlwind.

While most people were writing their math IB exam, I was hanging out with Kenard, Roo, Mao, Stanley and SUS in the caf. I can't remember much of what was said, but I did take quite a few pictures of my phone (there was some calculator action going on in the background) and Bergman came by at one point and gave everybody candy and brownies. Every once in a while somebody would disappear to do their English commentary.

After Mikhael finished, we went to the bio tut, where Sabot basically told us what was on the exam. Went home after that and I know I ate something, but I can't remember what.

Today started much like yesterday, with the waking up and everything. I made some cue cards when I got to school.

The bio final wasn't that bad. The lights hummed.

After Mikhael and I went to his house. We were watching Tom and Jerry when we both realized that we were tired, so we fell asleep for two hours. Then I ate noodles and feta and was happy.

I have over a week off and no studying to do. Whatever am I going to do with my time?

Trousers

Okay, so you lecture her and I for yelling at each other, saying that you expected better from the White Race and we have failed you. Saying that family is the most important thing and without family, we have nothing. This means nothing, coming from you. You purposely distanced yourself from your own family many years ago so that they would have nothing to do with you. Please think before you pull that one again.

Oh yeah, and stop lecturing me about loading and emptying the dishwasher. We wouldn't have to do this every time if you just let me do it. We also wouldn't have to do this nearly as often if you didn't eat so much. Yes, I know you have diabetes. Eat a fucking piece of fruit or something and stop dirtying all of the dishes.

I'm sorry that I do not do very much housework. I do keep my part of my room clean, and occasionally I do pick up a vacuum. I'm sorry that the only time I feel like doing housework is when I'm anywhere but home. You should see how much I do at your other daughter's apartment. More than her anyways. I'm also a little on the busy side at the moment. If you hadn't noticed, I do have three exams this week.

You will never read this and I do not have the courage to say this to your face. Pity.

Macbeth the Goat, Looking at a Fish

-Mikhael leaves me alone in bio on Wednesday and I am sad.
-Megan and I design a new line of accessories. More about that tomorrow.
-Two days of speaking English in French. I fear the world is ending.
-Hunnings give us leverage on Saucier.
-My cold is slowly getting better. Very, very slowly.

~

It is about the time when you walk into dance to drop your duffel off before hanging at the mall for a couple hours, and some dancing mom remarks, "Wow! That's a lot of dance equipment!" then you want to scream, "Fuck you! Just because I'm one of the most senior, non-adult dancers here, and one of the best, doesn't mean that dance is my life!" storm out, and never return. But I don't. I bear it with a pained smile and put up with another hour of torture and half an hour of dancing moms talking about their pregnancies while I wait to be picked up.

I hate dancing moms. So much.

I found my pencilcase, sneeze

The only thing I remember about today is music. There was music. Between blocks one and two. Ghostbusters. Then the announcements didn't come, although it sounded like there was more than one attempt.

The End.

Sad

Today's Monday?

Haha, no more French oral and English commentary.

On a different note, I think I've lost my pencil case. If you see it, please give it back.

Snickup

Choir
Only went on Monday. On Wednesday I didn't make it to school until just after block three started, and if there was a practice scheduled for Friday, I didn't hear about it and I was too busy pretending to look for Megan so we could practice our French oral.

Block One
On the first day we joked around, having not seen each other for two weeks. Everybody joined in, which was rare. The rest of the week was devoted to studying, in the library or the caf. On Friday we were in the caf taking a break with a couple games of big two and Sabot showed up and yelled at us for not studying for bio, we yelled back that we also had French orals and chem tests to study for, then proceeded to sit down and distract us for the rest of the block. Sabot has an awesome laugh.

Block Two
Talked the first day, Bellemare spent half an hour discussing his trip to Hawaii with us and completely avoiding our questions about the Canucks vs Florida Panthers game. The rest of the week was dedicated to reading La tête d'un homme and writing excerpts from old provincials and presenting orals. I was supposed to go Friday, but everything was shifted, so I am going tomorrow. I drew a picture on Friday instead of paying attention to orals; eventually I'll get Erin to scan it and then I will post it.

Block Three
We have signed up for our final commentaries; Hunnings says I'm brave for signing up in the Monday at five pm slot, but really it's the only time I can go. Hopefully I can finish it and also be on time for dance. I arrived late on Wednesday and for once Hunnings didn't notice, though I apologized to him later. Some woman was in the class that day, I don't think anybody knows who she was, although I only asked Krisha.

Block Four
The first half of the week was ecology, the last two days the animalia test. I think I did fairly well, other than wanting to beat my head against my desk because at the time I couldn't remember how grasshoppers respirate. Sabot gave us Rockets during Thursdays portion and Mikhael gave me his. The lab portion was on Friday, and although I don't necessarily like lab tests because one only has thirty seconds per question or two, the atmosphere is always very relaxed. Everyone received two bonus marks because Sabot's phone rang twice during class, and he kept on imitating people: Kara's sneeze, SUS's is cuter, and Omar. No Francis stare this time.

Block Five
Chalmers introduced a new project on Monday. Tuesday she was not around, so I played with my watercolour pencil crayons and created a title for my concept map; (which is done! If I ever see it again I'm going to rip it to pieces) Minjee helped because she didn't feel like doing anything else. The rest of the week was dedicated to glazing my last project; Mao hung around long after she finished her piece so we could bitch about people, meaning Francis, AJ, OMC, and Donna, always Donna.

Public Transit
...Takes an incredibly long time when there's a foot and a half of snow on the ground.

Dance
On Monday I must have been really tired because I screwed up more than usual. Maybe it was because I knew that Luke was watching me. I hate one-way glass. No dance on Wednesday due to Donna not being able to get out of her driveway. I was thrilled.

Yesterday
I woke up early, hopped on a bus and met Mikhael on the Coquitlam/PoCo border for sushi. The sushi place was closed when we got there, so we decided to waste some time at Michael's. Liz was working there, I hadn't seen her in a couple years. We went for sushi at the good sushi place, ordered Sushi Combo A and some other roll with tuna and green onions.

Bussed to Mikhael's, where I caught up on my sleep. I always dream a lot more at Mikhael's.

We eventually left for Bubble World. It wasn't very busy, I guess because most people order slushes and it was rather cold out. However, the sun was out so that side of the hill was warmer, so we ordered slushes, Mikhael, pineapple milk, and me, peach.

We went back to Mikhael's and watched cartoon and the Food Network.

I left earlier than usual and bussed it to as close to the theatre at Meadowtown as I could, then walked the rest. Met up with the family, and we watched Charlotte's Web. It was missing all of the good songs from the animated version.

We went to Boston Pizza after, because it was right there, and I nibbled on a piece of cheese toast and looked at the pictures in the drinks menu while my family ate a pizza. We were in the bar portion of the restaurant and sitting at a rather high table that, when we were standing next to it, made us all feel very short.

Dropped off some stuff at Erin's, then we all went home to watch Saturday Night Live.

Quote of the day:
Erin: "I hate that steeped woman on the Tim Horton's commercial."
Abby: "Yeah, she's trying so hard to be cool."
Mom: "Well obviously she doesn't know anything about Marilyn Manson."

Today
I cleaned my room, pleasing my mother. Half-assedly working on my desk.

A big, happy Thank You goes to the Maple Ridge firefighters at the No1 Firehall, for being the only people this side of the bridge to shovel and salt their sidewalks.

Kleenex

Yesterday I got up early to go to Mikhael's to work on the concept map (fucking concept map) and simultaneously watch the hockey game. I was cheering for Canada and Mikhael for Russia, so there was some friendly rivalry. I nearly missed the bus, but it waited for me as I ran half a block uphill in thirty centimeters of snow. I hate snow.

I left after a few hours and met Megan at the library, where we discussed our French oral. The power was out at the library, though the emergency lights were on. Eventually we decided to go to Starbucks, where I paid Megan back.

I bussed to Marks, met my parents and bought a rugby shirt. My feet were wet and freezing from having stepped in puddles of melted snow. I hate snow.

Watched the news about three times at Erin's, BC Place sucks, then eventually went home. Dad dropped a bunch of puzzles on the floor, and I am in the process of sorting them and putting them together. Lou's very into it. I don't think I've ever seen her that focused for that long.

~

Today I sorted more puzzles, did some homework and cursed Alex. I think I've found my voodoo doll victim.

...

Somebody remind me to talk to Strommie or Sayers next week.

Fishlake

This week's been a bit of a blur. I've been studying almost constantly, and yesterday I spent five hours finelining my concept map at Mikhael's. Fuck you, concept map.

Tomorrow I will work on the concept map at Mikhael's and watch the gold medal game between Canada and Russia, then I'm meeting Megan and PoMo library to work on our French oral. Expect me to be pretty incapacitated by the time I get home.

I still owe Megan money for Starbucks.

Okay

Lou just brightened up my day by trying to eat a piece of victorian tinsel. Oh Lou, you're certainly not the brightest cat in the world.

...

Awwww, Comfortably Numb is number one every year on Rock 101's 1001 best songs list. Next year we should switch it up. Make it number two or something. Listening right now. Speaker next to my head does nothing for my headache.

Fuck you, concept map

The last few days.

Saturday the 30th was my parent's anniversary. We went to the CN IMAX theatre in Canada Place and saw Polar Express 3D. The animation was amazing. Afterwards we did some window shopping to kill time, then we went to the Water Street Cafe. I love the Water Street Cafe. The food is amazing, it won't break the bank, and if one is really in need of entertainment, they can always look out the window and laugh at tourists obsessing over the steam clock. We ordered all of the specials, the soup of the day as one of our appetizers, tomato soup with caramelized onions and wild rice; we also ordered the smoked salmon and the rare ahi tuna in soy sesame sauce. Oh my god, the tuna was amazing. Mom ordered the fish of the day (ling cod wrapped in prosciutto with various vegetable on the side) and Erin ordered the pasta of the day (some sort of pasta noodle with stuffed portabello mushrooms and blue cheese cream sauce); I ordered linguine with smoked salmon and cream sauce and dad ordered linguine with prawns, then proceeded to bury it under a mound of pepper. We each ordered different desserts, Erin ordered the flourless double chocolate espresso cake, which was really good and I wish I had ordered it, mom ordered the sorbet and received raspberry and kiwi (I tried the raspberry, but not the kiwi), dad ordered strawberry and rhubarb compote wrapped in filo pastry and I ordered the cheesecake of the day, caramel and orange.

Went home after that; we were going to stop by my aunt's and pick up our Christmas presents, but we decided that it was too late in the evening.

Yesterday morning I woke up early and left for Mikhael's, not realizing that fifteen minutes after I left, my aunt and cousins would come and visit for the first time ever. Damn. Apparently Kenny would get ahold of the potato ornament, causing a few tense moments between her and Erin.

I spent yesterday sleeping off a headache and stomach ache. I suffered a bleeding nose near the end, which meant a race to wash my jeans a IB sweatshirt before midnight at Erin's. Doing laundry on New Years is the only thing my mom is superstitious about.

My New Years was unexciting. Erin was at a party, so we had to babysit her apartment and make sure that nobody set anything on fire in the park. We played cribbage, watched specials on CBC and drank sparkling white wine, probably not the best thing for me to do considering I felt like shit already, but it was only half a glass.

Happy New Year, I guess. No picture of Shirley Temple that scares Krisha this time. I still feel like shit, meaning I'm bitchy and irritable. Don't talk to me.
